Business Trash and Recycling Services in El Monte

Phoenix has two very important roles in the City of El Monte for refuse collection and recycling:

1. Multi-Family Services: Phoenix was recently awarded a Multi-family Refuse and Recycling Franchise in the City of El Monte. The Multi-Family Franchise provides for the collection and recycling from multi-family units, apartments, condominiums and townhouse units with more than three (3) per parcel. Our role is to manage trash and recyclables in an environmentally sound and responsible manner while increasing the amount of recyclables collected and controlling costs of disposal.
2. Commercial Services: Phoenix was also awarded a Commercial Refuse and Recycling Franchise to provide businesses with cost-effective recycling programs that control costs of disposal and collection while keeping the environment of El Monte clean.

Multi-Family Collection Franchise
This allows Phoenix to provide a variety of trash and recycling alternatives to the City’s multi-family residents which increase recycling, keep the streets clean and free of litter, enhance the environment of El Monte and control disposal and collection costs.

Multi-Family Recycling Program
All residents in apartments, condominiums and multi-family complexes will recycle with the 3-step Multi-Family Recycling Program developed by Phoenix Waste and Recycling Services.

3 Steps to recycling:

1. Call 888-699-7776 for your FREE Recycling Bag and place the Recycling Bag in a convenient location in your home.
2. Place all plastic, glass and metal food and beverage containers in the Recycling Bag sent to your home by Phoenix. Also, all newspapers, cardboard, magazines, office paper and other scrap paper can be placed in the Recycling Bag.
3. Before Recycling Collection Day empty all recyclables placed in the Recycling Bag into the Blue Recycling Container located near the Refuse Collection Bin at your complex.

Commercial Recycling Programs
The different types of recycling programs offered to the City’s businesses by Phoenix are listed below:

1. Source Separated Recycling
   Business that generate large amounts of a single material can realize not only a savings, but a profit on discarded materials collected by Phoenix.
2. Multi-Material Recycling
   For businesses that generate significant amounts of multiple recyclables, this program works best. It allows the business to conveniently mix all recyclables into one container while significantly reducing the cost of collection and disposal.
3. Automated Container Recycling
   This program is perfect for businesses that generate small amounts of recyclables such as beverage containers, food containers, glass bottles, aluminum cans and cardboard and newspaper. Similar to the Multi-Family Recycling program, a 96 gallon blue recycling container, with wheels, is used to store and collect these recyclables at a savings or rebate to the business community.
