The owners of United Pacific Waste & Recycling Services (UPW) are successors of the award winning company, Zakaroff Recycling Services (ZRS)
founded in 1913.
Office buildings in downtown Los Angeles were serviced since their inception; modern equipment was engineered to accommodate architectural structures and recycling a regular practice of the business.
Today UPW is established to continue the ZRS legacy. Our predecessors taught us to provide a stable leadership that guides the company's long-term strategy and daily operations.
We are composed of technically qualified professionals with over 150 years of combined experience and empowered by a professional work force of over 100.
UPW offers all-inclusive waste removal, recycling and educational service for office towers, shopping centers, hotels, commercial compounds, and municipalities.
Phoenix Waste & Recycling Services, LLC (PWRS) is set up to provide service to municipalities while focusing on research and development in renewable products and recycling technologies.
The Phoenix logo is developed to depict renewal as in the mythical sacred firebird. At the end of its life cycle the phoenix builds itself a nest of cinnamon twigs it then ignites; both nest and bird burn fiercely and are reduced to ashes, from which a new, young phoenix arises.
